Welcome to AE3, the Academy for Excellence in Engineering Education!

AE3 is a dynamic central resource for faculty, students and departments in the College of Engineering. One of the first Teaching Academies on the Illinois campus, AE3 has been supporting excellence in teaching and learning through faculty development and instructional enhancement since 1994.

AE3 offers programs for faculty at all stages of their careers, as well as workshops for department heads and senior administrators. We recognize that efficient and effective faculty are invaluable to the success of the COE, and our programs support faculty in their roles as teachers and researchers. We also recognize the direct relationship between excellent faculty and well-prepared, engaged students, and we work to help faculty and departments observe and respond to the changing needs of the student population.
